NOTE: Hard drive requirements for database size are dependent on the amount of records in HelpTrac. 2 GB is recommended for large number of tickets (50,000) with backups. Obviously, the more records you have, the more space you need. Performance increases with more RAM and faster processor(s).

HelpTrac customers might notice degradation in speed if either the client or server machines are running a high number of applications and/or services. Client/Server customers are more likely to experience this than HelpTrac File/Server customers, due to the nature of Client/Server technology.

HelpTrac File/Server: The server only stores the data to be retrieved by the HelpTrac client/workstation.

HelpTrac Client/Server: The server runs an application that retrieves the data and passes it to the client/ workstation.

Written in Microsoft Visual C++ Version 6, .NET 2003

Uses the CodeBase engine from Sequiter Software (the fastest database engine available)

Uses the Dbase 4 file structure

Ships with an SQL driver that may be used to query HelpTrac’s databases using SQL

Web Communications Module requires a minimum of NT4 and IIS4. Win2000 and IIS5 recommended.

InvisibleTech Module requires Win2000 and above.
